Myakka State Park

Myakka State Park is only a 26 minute drive (17mi), excluding traffic delays, from our Siesta Key hotel, Siesta Key Beach Resort and Suites.
This magnificent river runs through just under 60 miles of Myakka River State Park, one of Florida’s largest and oldest parks. Boating, kayaking, canoeing, are some of the popular water activities, while land lovers can enjoy an immense wetland and forest, filled with beautiful Oaks and whistling Pines, accompanied by miles and miles of trails and backroads, which makes jogging, biking, and hiking an awesome experience.
